I am sad that 8800 Arte is not in the market anymore, so I now must take care of it even more. Vertu's design for now is way either too rustic or too futuristic for my taste. I wish I can upgrade to the Vertu in the future if there is anything interesting. It is made for those who appreciate the beauty of arts and contemporary design with a little bit luxury in it. But it is also NOT MEANT TO BE MARKETED that way. Yes, 8800 Arte is NOT full of apps, high tech features, etc. I was looking for a phone with a little touch of luxury yet quite affordable (it was about 1k € at that time). I bought it for my personal collection and it is well worth it for me. I love the simplicity of the design, too! It looks fantastic on my hand and it weights just comfortably right, neither too heavy nor too light. I bought this phone in Dec 2008 and it still works properly (never froze even for once!) and it is in excellent condition (to be honest I'm taking care of it sometimes too much), I could count only 2 very little (not to be seen) scratches on it - very solid built with the best materials (not cheap plastic like other phones nowadays). Where should I begin, it is a very beautiful mobile phone that you can't find everywhere on the street.
